Hmmm, I asked them to try a more professional response before I become unprofessional. However, they say due to Honda policy that if they cannot recreate it. I have multiple videos and multiple still photos that I have shared with them. "Sadly, they cannot recreate the concern when our Pilot is in the service bays. To this date, we have not seen this mystical unicorn. "Others have reported similar events" On the second visit for this problem, they acknowledged to us that there is a "Firmware coming soon to fix it." For the first year the shop acknowledged that there is a concern. We have had it in multiple times now with no resolve. I'm guessing this system re-set may be something that can be done at home, if you're confident enough. I was so thankful to the Honda dealer, they really went to work and fixed the problem fast. retained the previous info so no problem there. All other things like oil life, odometer, clock, etc. The only thing I had to re-do was my seat position preference. Guess what? It worked! Now my center screen is on again. This consists of pulling the cables off the battery, connecting them with a small jumper or connector, and holding them together like that for about 30 seconds. So now he resorts to a total power "reset". He starts it up, and still no power to the screen. So I go there, the tech lifts the hood and proceeds to push in on all the fuses to make sure they're seated properly. Late in the afternoon I call the local Honda dealer where I bought it, and miraculously they haven't gone home yet or left early due to Thanksgiving break. Just the big center touchscreen is blacked out, so no radio or navigation is possible. A/C still works fine, and all information gauges near speedometer work fine. This is my world on the day before the big "first trip". Not even the faint "booting up" sound as I normally hear, obviously no power is getting to it. So late in the afternoon I go to start it, and the center console touchscreen is black - as in nothing. It's the day before our big Thanksgiving trip, first real trip in the new Pilot Elite.
I know there are probably other threads on this, but I wanted to share my experience today.
